Database Administrator

About the role

The Database Administrator will manage, secure, and optimise the organisation's database environments while delivering reliable IT support across multiple regional sites. The role ensures high availability, performance, data integrity and secure access to critical business systems in line with continuity objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, monitor, maintain and optimise enterprise databases.
• Perform performance tuning, query optimisation, indexing and capacity planning.
• Manage backup, restore, replication and disaster‑recovery processes.
• Implement security controls, user access management, encryption and audit logging.
• Support high‑availability solutions such as clustering, failover and DR replication.
• Provide regional IT support for infrastructure, endpoints, applications and user issues.
• Support business‑critical applications and ERP platforms, including SAP S/4HANA.
• Assist with server administration, storage, virtualization and cloud environments that host database workloads.
• Proactively monitor database health, resolve incidents and conduct root‑cause analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in database administration and enterprise IT support.
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified Database Administrator, Azure Administrator or Microsoft Certified Windows Server.
