Design Engineer – Escalator & Elevator Projects

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Design Engineer to create detailed working diagrams for escalator and elevator projects. The role involves preparing dimensions, engineering information and ensuring compliance with design standards, policies and procedures. The successful candidate will work closely with the engineering team to support sales and installation activities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed design drawings and specifications for escalator/elevator systems using CAD applications.
• Review and analyse specifications, sketches and related data to determine installation requirements.
• Check material dimensions, assign material numbers and modify designs to resolve operating deficiencies.
• Produce, print and file documentation for easy retrieval and maintain an archived database of all work.
• Create illustrations for reference manuals and technical publications describing operation and maintenance.
• Provide technical support to sales and installation teams and coordinate with other engineers to resolve design issues.
• Follow Engineering Department policies, SOPs and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in a similar design engineering role.
• CAD certification is mandatory; additional certifications in REVIT are a plus.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Eligibility to work in Saudi Arabia (Saudi nationals only).

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD software.
• Knowledge of REVIT or other design tools.
• Strong computer literacy, including MS Office.
• Ability to read and interpret layout manuals and technical drawings.
