Design Engineer – Truck Body Manufacturing

About the role

The Design Engineer will be responsible for creating engineering designs, technical drawings, calculations and documentation that support the manufacturing and production of truck bodies. The role works closely with production, quality, stores and other supporting departments to ensure that all products meet approved specifications, engineering standards and customer requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare engineering designs and detailed technical drawings for truck bodies and related applications.
• Conduct technical inspections of chassis and vehicles.
• Perform load distribution calculations and verify engineering designs.
• Prepare Bills of Materials (BOM) for assigned projects.
• Select appropriate hydraulic, mechanical and other engineering components based on project requirements.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality Control, Stores and other departments to support project execution.
• Assist in the development of new products and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide technical support to production teams and evaluate warranty, service and product‑related issues.
