Design Manager – Electrical Engineering

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager – Design (Electrical) to lead our electrical design activities across multiple projects in Saudi Arabia. The role involves overseeing the full design lifecycle, ensuring technical excellence, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver compliant and reliable electrical solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead electrical design and engineering activities across projects.
• Design and review primary and secondary electrical systems.
• Develop earthing/grounding, lightning protection, lighting, emergency lighting, and lighting control systems.
• Prepare and review single line diagrams (SLDs), schematics, technical specifications, and detailed electrical layouts.
• Manage design validation, verification, technical reviews, and approval processes.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Interface with civil, structural, architectural, BIM, mechanical, fire protection, firefighting, CCTV, protection, and secondary design teams.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, specifications, and project requirements.
• Support project execution from design development through final submission.
• Provide technical support to proposal and estimation teams during bidding stages.
• Participate in design reviews, client meetings, and technical discussions.

Required profile

• BE/BTech in Electrical Engineering.
• 15+ years of electrical design and engineering experience.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in GIS and AIS substation design and engineering.
• Strong knowledge of primary and secondary electrical systems.
• Proven leadership, coordination, and team‑management abilities.
• Experience in utility and major infrastructure projects is highly preferred.
