Design Manager (Stadiums)

About the role

Mace is seeking a Design Manager to lead the design delivery for new stadiums and major stadium redevelopments in Riyadh. You will drive design excellence, ensure safety and sustainability, and support knowledge transfer for long‑term operational success.

Key responsibilities

• Manage safe, compliant, and sustainable design delivery across all project phases.
• Guide design management teams to meet strategic objectives, performance targets and budget.
• Oversee design management systems, ensuring statutory, contractual and business compliance.
• Foster collaboration, innovation and knowledge sharing among internal and external stakeholders.
• Supervise design delivery aligned with business plan targets and client expectations.
• Present key performance indicators and support business development initiatives.
• Drive carbon‑reduction initiatives through a centre of excellence and reach‑back resources.

Required profile

• Degree in design, architecture or a related discipline.
• Chartered membership (e.g., RIBA, CIOB, RICS) or equivalent professional accreditation.
• Strong BIM, prefabrication and design risk expertise.
• Proven experience delivering FIFA‑standard stadium projects.
• Broad sector experience with solid technical and safety knowledge.
• Eligibility to work in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and meet client immigration criteria.
