Director of Hospitality Development

About the role

Qiddiya Investment Company is creating a landmark entertainment and hospitality destination in the Kingdom. The Hospitality Business Unit seeks a senior leader to drive end‑to‑end development of hotel assets, from concept and business case through delivery and operational readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Lead strategic development of hospitality assets from early briefing to handover and operational launch.
• Shape asset strategy, feasibility studies, positioning, guest experience and value creation.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams across strategy, asset management, design, delivery and operators to ensure seamless progression.
• Ensure assets meet Qiddiya’s vision, quality standards and best‑in‑class design and guest experience.
• Oversee critical asset decisions such as positioning, room mix, amenities and operational planning.
• Manage validation milestones, mock‑up reviews and gateway decisions balancing design, commercial and delivery requirements.
• Proactively manage interfaces, risks and opportunities across all workstreams to protect value.
• Lead governance, executive reporting and stakeholder communication on strategy, priorities and risks.
• Mentor and develop teams, embedding strong development capability and best‑practice approaches.

Required profile

• Proven experience shaping development strategy, feasibility and positioning for complex hospitality or mixed‑use assets.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to create value in high‑value development environments.
• Excellent judgement and ability to manage complexity across multiple stakeholders and project stages.
• Demonstrated influence with senior stakeholders and clear storytelling communication.
• Comfortable operating in fast‑paced, ambiguous environments with shifting priorities.
• Proficiency in project management and reporting tools (e.g., Aconex).
