Director of Human Resources – Hospitality Cluster

About the role

The Cluster Director of Human Resources is a senior member of the hotel cluster leadership team, responsible for shaping and delivering the people strategy across several properties. Reporting to the Cluster General Manager, the role partners with hotel leadership and ownership to ensure talent attraction, development and retention while complying with Saudi regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a cluster‑wide HR strategy aligned with business objectives, brand standards and local labour laws.
• Lead all pre‑opening HR activities, including workforce planning, recruitment mobilisation, HR systems implementation and opening‑readiness programmes.
• Design and manage talent acquisition and workforce planning initiatives to fill critical and leadership positions on schedule.
• Create and oversee Saudisation programmes, partnering with government agencies and educational institutions to meet national employment targets.
• Establish learning and development frameworks, including leadership development, onboarding and service‑culture training.
• Drive employee engagement, well‑being and retention initiatives across the portfolio.
• Implement performance management, succession planning and organisational development processes.
• Oversee compensation and benefits structures to ensure competitiveness and equity.
• Prepare and manage HR operating and pre‑opening budgets, monitoring recruitment, training and other HR expenditures.
• Act as the primary HR liaison for ownership, hotel leadership and external stakeholders, providing workforce analytics and people insights.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years progressive HR experience in hospitality or comparable service industries.
• Demonstrated success in supporting multiple hotel openings and workforce mobilisation.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi labour legislation, Saudisation requirements and compliance reporting.
• Commercially minded with the ability to align people strategies with business goals.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing ownership, operations and government partners.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Hospitality Management or related field; professional HR certifications are a plus.
