Electrical Lead Technician – Engineering

About the role

The Electrical Lead Technician will head the Electrical Engineering team at Jumeirah Jabal Omar, ensuring reliable power supply across the hotel’s facilities. This position combines hands‑on technical work with supervisory responsibilities in a fast‑paced hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the Electrical Engineering team during daily operations, preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency response.
• Plan, execute and supervise PPM of MV/LV switchgear, transformers, MDBs, SMDBs, DBs, electrical panels and associated distribution systems.
• Coordinate specialist contractors for planned maintenance, testing, inspection and commissioning of switchgear, transformers, generators, UPS, ATS and other critical equipment.
• Conduct regular inspections and PPM of all hotel electrical panels, covering guest rooms, residences, front‑of‑house, back‑of‑house, plant rooms, kitchens, retail and common areas.
• Prepare and monitor the hotel’s HLP (Hotel Light Plan) and related documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 36 months (3 years) of experience in electrical maintenance and supervision.
• Proven ability to lead a technical team in a hospitality or similar high‑availability environment.
