Engineering Team Leader

About the role

We are seeking an Engineering Team Leader to drive high‑impact delivery at the intersection of engineering execution, team development, and AI‑driven software processes. The role is fully remote and reports to product and engineering functions, combining hands‑on coding with people leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage a small team of 3‑5 engineers, ensuring quality delivery and healthy dynamics.
• Balance hands‑on development with leadership duties, contributing directly to product code.
• Own hiring, onboarding, and continuous development of team members.
• Provide regular feedback, coaching, and mentorship.
• Drive planning, prioritization, and execution focused on delivery efficiency.
• Act as the primary spokesperson for the team, aligning with stakeholders.
• Define and implement AI‑enabled engineering workflows and automation.
• Introduce testing, evaluation, and guardrails for reliable software.
• Collaborate across teams to improve processes and system design.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing 2‑5 engineers with responsibility for performance and delivery.
• Strong backend engineering background with production‑grade systems.
• Demonstrated ability to ship secure, scalable, reliable software.
• Experience with automation, workflow orchestration, or agentic systems.
• Excellent communication and systems‑thinking skills.
