L2 Operation & Support Engineer

About the role

Thales is looking for an L2 Operation & Support Engineer to join the CDI/MCS product team responsible for On‑Demand Connectivity (ODC) and eUICC IoT Manager (eIM). The role combines DevOps engineering with 24/7 operational support to ensure cloud‑native solutions are reliable, scalable and performant for customers in Saudi Arabia and beyond.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and automate infrastructure using Infrastructure‑as‑Code (IaC) principles.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines in GitLab.
• Install, configure and manage Kubernetes clusters on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Own production systems with a “you build it, you run it” mindset, handling monitoring, observability and incident response to meet SLA targets.
• Provide 24/7 onsite operational support, participate in Change Advisory Board (CAB) reviews and manage high‑impact changes.
• Prepare technical documentation, customer acceptance plans and operational readiness reviews.
• Collaborate with development, validation and customer teams, sharing knowledge and driving continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in systems administration, solutions delivery or integration engineering.
