General Accountant

About the role

The General Accountant will manage and maintain accurate accounting records, perform daily ledger activities, and support the preparation of financial reports. This position works closely with the Finance Manager and requires hands‑on experience with Oracle ERP, bank reconciliations, and external account confirmations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain up‑to‑date general ledger accounts and record daily transactions, including journal entries, accruals, provisions, and adjustments.
• Prepare and review bank and account reconciliations, investigating discrepancies and ensuring accurate balances.
• Conduct account confirmations with customers, suppliers, banks, and other external parties.
• Support month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end closing activities and prepare supporting schedules for financial statements.
• Process transactions through Oracle ERP, extract financial data, and generate accounting reports.
• Coordinate with other departments to obtain necessary financial documentation.
• Assist internal and external auditors by providing schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documents.
• Support the Finance Manager with financial analysis and other accounting‑related tasks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in general accounting and month‑end closing procedures.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and attention‑to‑detail skills.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
