General Manager GCC Cluster

About the role

As the General Manager for the GCC Cluster, you will lead the business at the cluster level, driving long‑term growth and ensuring alignment with Biogen’s global strategy and local regulations. You will act as the public face of the organization in the region, championing the corporate brand and fostering a high‑performance culture.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Cluster Leadership Team to achieve long‑term objectives and annual performance targets while ensuring compliance with all local and Biogen policies.
• Implement Biogen’s global corporate strategy locally, promoting operational excellence and a culture of inclusion and compliance.
• Oversee core and support functions, monitor deliverables against metrics, and manage P&L, budgeting, financial forecasting and reporting.
• Drive market access, pricing strategy and coordinate with Global and Regional Market Access teams.
• Ensure medical activities align with corporate strategy and support the Medical team in stakeholder engagement.
• Collaborate with HR to secure staffing excellence and promote risk‑taking and inclusivity.
• Maintain legal, fiduciary and compliance responsibilities, minimizing risk.
• Supervise supply chain management, forecasting and distribution compliance.
• Promote Biogen’s brand locally and manage relationships with healthcare organisations, government bodies and industry associations.
• Oversee IT, facilities and procurement to ensure infrastructure supports productivity and compliance.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in a multinational, preferably within the life‑science or healthcare sector.
• Strong strategic vision with the ability to translate global objectives into local execution.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large, cross‑functional teams and drive a culture of excellence.
• Deep understanding of regulatory, compliance and market access environments in the GCC region.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with experience engaging government, healthcare and industry partners.
