General Manager – Logistics & Supply Chain

About the role

We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the logistics and supply chain function for a major organisation in Riyadh. The role is responsible for shaping strategy, overseeing end‑to‑end operations and driving performance across warehousing, transportation and distribution.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a logistics and supply chain strategy aligned with commercial objectives.
• Direct all logistics activities including warehousing, inventory management, transportation and distribution.
• Lead, mentor and develop the logistics team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
• Manage departmental budgets, control costs and identify efficiency opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, carriers and 3PL partners.
• Analyse performance data, identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with local and international trade laws, customs regulations and health & safety standards.
• Collaborate with senior management and other departments to ensure integrated operations.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in logistics, supply chain or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics or a related discipline; Master’s degree or professional certification (CILT, CIPS) is a plus.
• Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, cost control and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Outstanding negotiation and communication skills.
• Experience working in Saudi Arabia or the wider GCC market is strongly preferred.
