General Practitioner – Home Care

About the role

The General Practitioner will deliver high‑quality, compassionate medical care to patients in home‑care settings and within NMC Hospitals and Clinics. The role follows evidence‑based medicine, professional ethics, and Saudi Ministry of Health regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Take patient histories, perform physical examinations, and interpret common diagnostic tests.
• Conduct daily ward rounds for in‑patients and coordinate care with senior consultants.
• Participate in on‑call rotations, admit patients from ER and OPD, and develop investigation and management plans.
• Perform diagnostic procedures such as bone‑marrow aspiration, lumbar puncture, and cavity aspirations under senior supervision.
• Document treatment plans, progress notes, discharge summaries, and death reports in patient charts.
• Engage in CME activities, Grand Rounds, tutorials, Journal Clubs, and morbidity‑mortality meetings.
• Educate patients and families according to the patient‑family education policy.

Required profile

• Licensed medical doctor with a valid Saudi practice license.
• Strong knowledge of evidence‑based medicine, CBAHI/JCIA standards, and Ministry of Health regulations.
• Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and on‑call rotations.
• Excellent communication skills for patient and family education.
