Global Supplier Management Manager

About the role

The Strategic Supplier Leader (SSL) is a key position within Schneider Electric’s Modular Data Center (MDC) Procurement organisation. Reporting as the single point of accountability for end‑to‑end supplier relationships across Enclosures and turnkey MDC categories in the MEA region, the role blends strategic partnership management with rigorous category execution.

Key responsibilities

• Own the strategic relationship with key MDC suppliers, acting as the “one voice” to C‑suite contacts and leading regular business reviews.
• Define and implement multi‑year value proposals covering growth, innovation, outsourcing and geographic expansion.
• Lead complex commercial negotiations (MSAs, LTSAs, pricing frameworks) and oversee RFQ processes in collaboration with category buyers.
• Drive cost transparency through detailed cost modelling and influence make‑or‑buy decisions with engineering and finance teams.
• Manage a productivity pipeline that includes contract improvements, quality value engineering, supplier changes and logistics optimisation.
• Monitor supplier performance across productivity, quality, on‑time delivery, competitiveness and innovation, and resolve escalations at senior level.
• Develop multi‑sourcing strategies to enhance resilience and competitiveness of the Enclosures and MDC portfolio.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in strategic procurement or category management within industrial or technology environments.
• Proven ability to engage senior supplier leadership and influence C‑level stakeholders.
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of negotiating long‑term agreements and delivering cost savings.
• Excellent analytical skills for cost modelling and performance measurement.
• Executive presence and communication skills to align internal and external partners.
