Housekeeping Supervisor

About the role

The Housekeeping Supervisor will lead the housekeeping team responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the Riyadh Care and Housing premises of National Medical Care Co. This full‑time, onsite position ensures that all areas meet international cleaning standards and supports a safe environment for patients and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise housekeeping staff during each shift to guarantee thorough cleaning and decontamination of all hospital areas.
• Conduct continuous inspections to confirm no area is missed and perform periodic quality‑improvement checks.
• Provide in‑service training for new hires and ongoing education for existing staff on updated cleaning techniques and safety precautions.
• Assist in creating monthly work schedules, coordinating shift rotations, and managing non‑routine tasks such as floor stripping, polishing, and carpet shampooing.
• Coordinate with the store keeper to maintain adequate supplies of cleaning chemicals and materials.
• Monitor housekeeping equipment, report defects to maintenance, and ensure staff safety.
• Recommend disciplinary actions when necessary and report any incidents to the Manager of General Services.

Required profile

• Minimum 60 months (5 years) of housekeeping experience, preferably in a medical or healthcare setting.
• Proven supervisory experience overseeing housekeeping teams.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning and decontamination procedures.
• Ability to train staff and manage schedules effectively.
