Information Security Specialist

About the role

The Information Security Specialist will protect our digital assets by monitoring networks, responding to incidents, and ensuring compliance with security standards. You will work closely with IT and business teams to embed security into daily operations and strategic projects.

Key responsibilities

• Continuously monitor networks and systems for suspicious activity using SIEM tools; investigate and remediate security incidents, perform forensic analysis and root‑cause investigations.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability scans; prepare audit‑ready documentation and ensure adherence to frameworks such as ISO 27001, NCA and GDPR.
• Assist in designing and implementing secure architectures, including firewall configuration, IDS/IPS deployment, antivirus management, encryption, and endpoint protection.
• Manage identity and access management (IAM) controls, enforce security policies, and deliver awareness training to promote a cyber‑secure culture.
• Collaborate with IT and business units to integrate security requirements into projects; report metrics and incidents to senior management and stay updated on emerging threats.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience in information security or a comparable role.
• Strong understanding of security frameworks, risk management and compliance requirements.
• Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+) are highly desirable.
