Instructor Pilot – Primary (Cirrus SR-22)

About the role

BAE Systems is seeking an experienced Instructor Pilot (Primary) to deliver flight training on the Cirrus SR‑22 for Royal Saudi Air Force cadets at Al‑Majma’ah. The role involves conducting primary instructional missions in line with Saudi Air Force syllabi and ensuring high standards of safety and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute primary flight training sorties for cadets on the Cirrus SR‑22.
• Maintain compliance with Royal Saudi Air Force training syllabi and safety regulations.
• Provide in‑flight coaching and ground‑based instruction to develop cadet competencies.
• Report flight activity and training progress to the Head of Flying (KFAA).
• Maintain aircraft and training equipment readiness.

Required profile

• Maximum age of 55 at contract start.
• Minimum 1,500 total flight hours, including at least 800 hours on fixed‑wing aircraft.
• At least 400 hours of primary flight instructional experience.
• RAF A2 instructor qualification (or equivalent) for primary or basic instruction.
• Strong interpersonal and people‑development skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Cirrus SR‑22 aircraft.
• Experience instructing on fixed‑wing platforms.
• RAF A2 instructor qualification (or comparable military instructor certification).
