Internal Auditor – Riyadh

About the role

Saudi Gold Refinery is seeking an Internal Auditor to provide independent assurance on internal controls, risk management and governance processes. Based in Riyadh, the auditor will report directly to the CEO and play a key role in protecting the company’s assets and reputation while supporting Vision 2030 objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular operational audits and vault inspections to verify compliance with SOPs and safety regulations.
• Perform surprise inventory counts and reconcile precious‑metal stock with system records.
• Review adherence to Saudi labour laws, tax regulations and environmental permits using data from Qiwa, Mudad and other government platforms.
• Lead fraud investigations, prepare evidence‑based reports and present findings to senior management.
• Assess procurement, accounts payable and treasury processes for proper authorization and segregation of duties.
• Prepare clear audit reports, track corrective actions and ensure timely resolution of control deficiencies.
• Maintain the corporate risk register and update it based on audit findings and emerging threats.
• Coordinate external audits by regulators and certification bodies, providing required documentation and explanations.
• Advise management on control design for new projects, systems or process changes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Professional experience in internal audit, preferably within an industrial or mining environment.
• Ability to analyse complex processes and communicate findings to senior leadership.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Riyadh and report directly to the CEO.
