Irrigation Engineer

About the role

IC İçtaş Construction is seeking an experienced Irrigation Engineer to join the team on a major road project in Riyadh. The role involves designing, reviewing and coordinating irrigation systems that support highways, landscaping, parks and large‑scale infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Design and coordinate irrigation networks for highway, landscape and infrastructure works.
• Prepare hydraulic calculations, water demand assessments and detailed engineering drawings.
• Develop solutions using potable, recycled and treated water sources in line with project requirements.
• Size and design pumping stations, storage tanks, control valves and filtration systems.
• Produce technical specifications, BOQs, material submittals and procurement documents.
• Collaborate with landscape, utility, road, civil, structural and MEP disciplines for seamless integration.
• Review contractor and consultant submissions related to irrigation and landscape infrastructure.
• Conduct site inspections and provide technical support during construction, testing, commissioning and handover.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Water Resources Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in irrigation design and infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience with irrigation systems for highways, urban developments, parks and large‑scale projects.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic design, pressure networks, pumping systems, filtration units and irrigation control systems.
• Experience with treated sewage effluent (TSE) networks, potable water systems and sustainable irrigation practices.
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
• Previous experience on projects in the Middle East, particularly Saudi Arabia, is highly preferred.
