IT Security Specialist – Detection & Response

About the role

We are looking for an IT Security Specialist to join Almosafer’s global security team. The role blends project‑focused security engineering with operational duties such as detection engineering and incident response, helping to protect our travel platforms and services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and maintain large‑scale security systems across the company’s ecosystem.
• Research and develop new security tooling and automation to reduce manual alert triage.
• Perform detection engineering to broaden coverage of endpoints, infrastructure, networks and cloud environments.
• Investigate alerts and incidents end‑to‑end, including digital forensics, malware analysis and threat intelligence.
• Lead incident response actions and coordinate with cross‑functional teams.
• Participate in red‑team exercises and threat simulations to identify gaps and improve defenses.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in incident response, detection engineering or related security disciplines.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and ability to work on complex security challenges from first principles.

Required skills

• Programming: Python, Rust, Go.
• Security models: BeyondCorp, Zero Trust.
• Digital forensics tools: GRR, Timesketch.
• Malware analysis tools: IDA Pro, Ghidra.
• Network telemetry: Zeek, PCAP analysis, flow data.
• Threat intelligence integration and host/network intrusion detection.
