Junior Prompt Engineer

About the role

Tech Pipeline is looking for a Junior Prompt Engineer to help a logistics client in Jeddah integrate large language models into their documentation and routing workflows. This fully remote position focuses on turning abstract AI capabilities into reliable, operational solutions for shipping and customs data.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and test text‑based instructions (prompts) for language models handling logistics documents such as shipping manifests and customs data.
• Compare model output with the client’s database to verify accuracy and consistency.
• Analyze system logs to pinpoint where prompts are misinterpreted.
• Document routing rules, edge cases, and prompt iterations.
• Work with the technical team to refine system‑level instructions based on operator feedback.
• Assist in data reconciliation when AI output deviates from expected results.
• Maintain a library of successful prompt templates for client use after engagement.
• Provide regular written updates on success rates across document types.

Required profile

• Clear, logical writing style with strong technical precision.
• Ability to decompose complex manual processes into repeatable instructions.
• Basic familiarity with generative AI tools and their response patterns.
• High attention to detail for spotting inconsistencies in large text or data sets.
• Comfort working with technical logs and structured data formats (JSON, CSV).
• Self‑motivated and disciplined in a fully remote environment.
• Methodical testing mindset, capable of running repetitive trials to identify failures.
