Kitchen Technician

About the role

The Kitchen Technician ensures that all commercial kitchen equipment across the hotel operates safely, efficiently, and reliably. This role supports uninterrupted Food & Beverage service by performing inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a wide range of kitchen appliances.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on ovens, ranges, grills, fryers, dishwashers, ice machines, refrigerators, freezers and other commercial kitchen equipment.
• Inspect, diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical and basic plumbing faults related to kitchen appliances.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and equipment breakdowns to minimise operational disruption.
• Conduct regular equipment inspections to identify wear, defects or potential failures.
• Assist with installation, testing and commissioning of new kitchen equipment when required.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, preventive maintenance and spare‑part usage.
• Coordinate with Engineering and Food & Beverage teams regarding equipment availability and maintenance schedules.
• Ensure all work complies with health, safety, hygiene and hotel standards.

Required profile

• Technical diploma or vocational qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, Refrigeration or a related field.
• Previous experience maintaining commercial kitchen equipment.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced hotel environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality standards.
