Laboratory Technician

About the role

The Laboratory Technician will perform routine and moderate‑complexity analyses within the Clinical Laboratory and Blood Bank divisions, supporting patient care at Riyadh Care Hospitals and Clinics. Working under the supervision of senior medical technicians, you will rotate across sections to maintain proficiency and respond to emergency testing needs.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, label, and assess clinical specimens in aseptic conditions.
• Prepare specimens, create daily work‑sheets, and conduct testing according to SOPs and QC protocols.
• Prepare reagents, calibrate equipment daily, and perform regular equipment assessments.
• Document all activities, maintain accurate QC records, and validate results via the Laboratory Information System.
• Identify and report technical or managerial deficiencies, and assist in troubleshooting.
• Maintain inventory of reagents and supplies, and support on‑call shift coverage, including nights and weekends.
• Participate in training new technicians and educate patients/families as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 months of laboratory experience.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights and holidays.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to quality standards.
• Good communication skills for patient and team interaction.
