Lead, Financial Controller

About the role

The Lead Financial Controller will oversee all financial activities for Misk Schools, ensuring accurate transaction recording, timely financial statement preparation, and strict compliance with IFRS and Saudi regulations. The role drives efficiency through process optimisation and close collaboration with internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, annual and consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
• Develop, monitor and report budgets, performing variance analysis and reconciliations.
• Execute subsidiary and general ledger reconciliations, pre‑payments and accruals.
• Maintain internal controls, support internal and external audits, and ensure compliance with KSA VAT, WHT and ZATCA reporting.
• Innovate and optimise financial systems and processes for accuracy and timeliness.
• Mentor junior accountants and review their journal entries.
• Collaborate with the Director of Finance to set performance objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field (essential).
• Minimum 8 years of relevant financial controlling experience.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, Saudi tax regulations (VAT, WHT, ZATCA) and ZAKAT.
• Proven ability to analyse data and produce insightful financial reports.
• Commitment to safeguarding children and adherence to school policies.
