Lead Planner

About the role

Parsons is seeking an experienced Lead Planner to own planning and schedule reporting for its closeout portfolio. You will set schedule standards, develop integrated demobilisation and preservation schedules, and provide critical‑path and forecast analysis to support closeout decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain schedule reporting across the portfolio, defining status, update, review and reporting cycles.
• Establish planning standards, coding requirements, schedule templates, calendars, cut‑offs and quality checks.
• Develop and maintain integrated demobilisation, preservation, termination and closeout schedules.
• Prepare schedule forecasts covering milestones, remaining activities, contract interfaces, handovers, preservation periods and closure dates.
• Perform critical‑path, near‑critical‑path, float, logic, constraint and schedule health analysis.
• Create S‑curves, milestone trends, progress curves, schedule narratives and executive dashboards.
• Lead schedule review meetings with project, construction, commercial, procurement, contractor, consultant and stakeholder teams.
• Assess schedule updates for completeness, logic, status accuracy and sequencing.
• Combine contract and work‑stream schedules into a portfolio view, identifying cross‑contract dependencies.
• Identify slippage, constraints, missed milestones and forecast changes, explaining impacts on closeout objectives.
• Provide schedule substantiation for claims, disputes, settlement discussions and final account reviews.
• Support weekly and monthly reporting, demobilisation and closeout reports, dashboards and presentations.

Required profile

• Minimum 20 years of planning and scheduling experience.
• At least 10 years on major projects in Saudi Arabia or the GCC.
• Experience on mega‑projects or mixed‑use programmes with multi‑billion SAR portfolios.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business or a related discipline.

Required skills

• Extensive experience in schedule development, review, forecasting, critical‑path analysis and progress measurement.
• Knowledge of demobilisation, preservation, termination, handover or closeout scheduling (preferred).
• Forensic planning and delay analysis experience (desirable but not mandatory).
