Legal Specialist / Consultant

About the role

Watania Steel is looking for an experienced Legal Specialist / Consultant to provide comprehensive legal support across its commercial and operational activities. The role requires strong corporate and commercial law expertise, deep knowledge of Saudi regulations, and the ability to manage contracts, compliance, and legal risk.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day legal advice on commercial, corporate and operational matters.
• Draft, review, negotiate and manage commercial contracts, service agreements, NDAs and other legal documents.
• Identify legal, commercial and regulatory risks in contractual terms.
• Support negotiations with suppliers, contractors, customers and other partners.
• Ensure compliance with Saudi laws, regulations and internal policies.
• Conduct legal research and deliver practical opinions to management.
• Maintain legal documentation, contracts, notices, claims and correspondence.
• Coordinate with external counsel, government authorities and relevant stakeholders.
• Assist in handling disputes, claims and other legal matters.
• Monitor legislative changes and assess impact on business activities.
• Collaborate with internal departments such as Procurement, Finance, HR, Operations, Maintenance and Administration to address legal requirements.

Required profile

• 2–7 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in steel manufacturing, heavy industry, construction or similar sectors.
• Degree in Law or equivalent legal qualification.
• Saudi nationals preferred; qualified expatriates with solid knowledge of Saudi legal and business environment are also considered.
• Experience in commercial contracts, corporate matters, compliance, disputes and regulatory issues.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi laws, regulations, contractual principles and commercial practices.
