Logistics Coordinator

About the role

The Logistics Coordinator at MAKEEN ensures the smooth flow of inbound and outbound shipments, handling customs clearance and documentation to meet delivery deadlines. This position acts as a bridge between internal departments and external service providers, supporting the optimisation of logistics processes.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, including scheduling and documentation.
• Expedite shipments by liaising with suppliers, transporters, and internal teams.
• Maintain accurate records of logistics activities and update shipment data in the IFS ERP system.
• Track shipment milestones, generate basic operational reports, and share status updates with relevant stakeholders.
• Apply for governmental customs clearance requirements (e.g., SABER, FASAH) and handle customs duty exemption requests.
• Escalate delays or exceptions to the Logistics Manager promptly.
• Assist in resolving routine logistics and delivery issues.

Required profile

• Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of logistics and supply chain experience in manufacturing, MRO, or related industries.
• Familiarity with logistics documentation such as bills of lading, packing lists and customs forms.
• Ability to follow established SOPs, safety guidelines and company policies.
• Willingness to learn new systems and adapt to regulatory changes.

Required skills

• Logistics documentation handling (bills of lading, packing lists, customs forms).
• Proficiency with ERP logistics software (IFS or similar) for data entry and shipment tracking.
• Basic knowledge of inventory management and warehouse operations.
