Logistics Operator – Shipping & Transportation

About the role

As a Logistics Operator at Siemens Energy, you will support the movement of materials and equipment essential for the company’s energy projects. The role focuses on coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, preparing required documentation, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipment activities according to delivery schedules.
• Arrange bookings with approved freight forwarders and transportation providers.
• Track shipment progress and provide timely updates to stakeholders.
• Prepare, collect, and maintain shipping documents and logistics records.
• Support customs clearance by liaising with customs brokers and internal teams.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Warehouse, Production, and Project teams to meet material availability requirements.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field.
• 1‑3 years of experience in logistics, transportation, shipping, warehouse operations or similar functions.
• Familiarity with shipping documentation and customs clearance processes.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of ERP/SAP systems.
