Logistics Specialist

About the role

The Logistics Specialist ensures smooth and cost‑effective movement of goods across the supply chain, from procurement to final delivery. This role acts as the primary liaison between the company and external logistics providers, safeguarding timelines, budgets, and quality standards while seeking continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with suppliers to confirm readiness dates, collect supporting documents (invoices, packing lists, telex releases) and reconcile shipments against purchase orders.
• Lead negotiations with shipping lines, freight forwarders and couriers to secure favorable terms and achieve cost savings while maintaining service quality.
• Analyze logistics costs, verify shipping invoices for accuracy and forward them to finance for timely payment.
• Generate performance reports, identify trends and propose process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce expenses.
• Serve as the main point of contact for resolving shipment delays, damages, cost discrepancies and quality issues.
• Ensure all logistics activities comply with local and international regulations and maintain comprehensive shipment records.

Required profile

• Proven experience in logistics, supply chain or transportation management.
• Strong negotiation and vendor‑relationship skills.
• Analytical mindset with ability to interpret data and drive cost‑saving initiatives.
• Excellent attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.
