Maintenance Technician 1

About the role

Vanderlande, the global leader in baggage handling and material handling systems, is seeking a Maintenance Technician 1 to join its Jeddah site. The role focuses on maintaining and repairing equipment to ensure high availability, safety, and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain machinery and electrical equipment such as motors, ATR systems, baggage handling equipment, and conveyor systems.
• Execute corrective, preventive, and emergency maintenance tasks following lock‑out/tag‑out procedures.
• Prepare and complete service calls, CMMS service reports, parts usage logs, and warranty records.
• Un‑jam conveyors, resolve system errors, and support manual encoding stations.
• Conduct inventory counts and request spare parts as needed.
• Provide guidance to less‑experienced technicians and contribute ideas for process improvements.

Required profile

• Minimum of 1 month of relevant experience in maintenance or service engineering.
• Ability to work independently on site and follow safety regulations.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
