Material Planner – Supply Chain & Inventory Management

About the role

Alstom Grid is looking for a Material Planner to support its projects in Saudi Arabia. You will work closely with procurement, engineering and finance teams to ensure material availability, optimise inventory and contribute to project success.

Key responsibilities

• Act as Work Package Owner on Procurement to achieve material milestones and meet QCD commitments.
• Analyse inventory consumption, identify trends and propose improvements.
• Define parameters for material planning and batch strategies.
• Execute improvement plans aimed at inventory reduction and cash‑flow optimisation.
• Create purchase orders and follow up with suppliers for timely delivery.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align material planning with project requirements.
• Participate actively in the Engineering Change Committee to plan material changes.
• Classify materials (ABC, variability, etc.) to establish planning tactics and support replenishment.

Required profile

• Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Strong analytical mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multi‑disciplinary environment.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to Alstom’s processes and tools.
