Mechanical & Civil Project Engineer – Refinery Projects

About the role

The Mechanical/Civil Project Engineer (SMP) will provide engineering services for mechanical and civil disciplines to support the development, addition, and modification of refinery facilities in Yanbu, Saudi Arabia. The role involves hands‑on design, cost estimation, scheduling, and technical guidance across project phases.

Key responsibilities

• Define project requirements, develop proposals, estimate costs and obtain approvals.
• Engineer design, procure materials, supervise construction and assist commissioning.
• Coordinate activities with refinery groups, vendors and contractors.
• Suggest and define new projects, assist in budget preparation and write funding applications.
• Organize and monitor support staff, refinery personnel, contractors and vendors during engineering, drafting, construction, inspection, testing and commissioning.
• Write, evaluate and administer purchase requisitions and installation contracts.
• Stay up‑to‑date with current techniques, applications and equipment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years experience in design engineering, construction supervision and project management.
• Saudi nationality.
• Ability to work on‑site in Yanbu.
