Mechanical Engineer – Water Utilities/Industrial Sector

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to support the design, installation and maintenance of water distribution networks, pumping stations and related mechanical assets. The role ensures reliable operation and optimal performance of mechanical systems within the water utilities and industrial sector.

Key responsibilities

• Review designs and specifications for pumps, valves, pipelines and meter chambers.
• Inspect contractor works and verify compliance with approved drawings and quality standards.
• Support evaluation of pump performance, pressure management and mechanical system efficiency.
• Assist in technical reviews, testing, commissioning and handover of mechanical systems.
• Prepare inspection reports, technical comments and maintenance recommendations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in water networks, utilities, industrial plants or related infrastructure projects.
• Practical understanding of pumps, valves, pipelines and hydraulic systems.
• Relevant professional certification or engineering registration is required or strongly preferred.
• Strong English communication skills for reporting and site coordination.
