Mechanical Technician

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Technician to perform maintenance, modification, overhauling and installation activities on mechanical machinery at our Sidra plant. The role ensures equipment reliability while adhering to standard operating procedures, HSE guidelines and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out daily and scheduled preventive mechanical maintenance according to ACWA NOMAC procedures.
• Monitor the condition of machines, report non‑conformances and implement corrective actions to minimise downtime.
• Troubleshoot mechanical failures using appropriate tools and spare parts, diagnosing issues such as corrosion, leaks, cracks or misalignments.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, mechanical diagrams and machinery drawings to support maintenance tasks.
• Maintain inventory levels of spare parts and update the maintenance logbook with detailed records of work performed.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with company policies, health, safety and environmental standards.

Required profile

• Technical certificate or Associate’s Diploma in Mechanical Maintenance.
• 3‑5 years of hands‑on experience in mechanical maintenance within an industrial setting.
• Ability to work independently and follow documented procedures.
