CCR Operator – Control Room Operations

About the role

The CCR Operator works in the plant’s control room to monitor and control the power and water units, ensuring steady‑state operation and meeting production targets while adhering to ACWA NOMAC’s work instructions, quality, and HSSE standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the assigned unit from the control panel, adjust operating conditions and product flows, and take corrective action during abnormalities.
• Maintain continuous radio contact with field operators and coordinate actions to keep the plant within agreed parameters.
• Update control‑room registers, logs and perform proper shift hand‑over.
• Follow work instructions, diagnose equipment malfunctions, raise work requests and follow up on defect rectification.
• Coordinate Lock Out & Tag Out procedures and manage permits to work for equipment isolation and re‑commissioning.
• Provide on‑the‑job training to junior team members.
• Adhere to health, safety, security and environmental procedures and report any deviations.
• Comply with organizational policies, SOPs and contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the line manager.

Required profile

• Technical Diploma holder in Engine or related field.
• Experience operating control‑room equipment in a power or water plant environment.
• Ability to work shifts and maintain effective communication with field staff.
• Understanding of HSSE standards, permits‑to‑work and lock‑out/tag‑out procedures.
