Network Sr. Specialist

About the role

ARO Drilling is seeking a senior network specialist to design, implement and maintain its enterprise networking infrastructure across Saudi Arabia and remote offshore sites. The role focuses on LAN, WAN, SD‑WAN, wireless and satellite communications to ensure reliable connectivity for critical operations.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, maintain and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, SD‑WAN and wireless infrastructure, including satellite (LEO/GEO) links.
• Administer network access control systems such as Aruba ClearPass and configure firewall rules.
• Use SolarWinds and other monitoring tools for proactive issue detection and performance optimization.
• Implement and manage DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, switching, VPN, BGP, OSPF, ACLs, QoS and NAT.
• Configure and support WAN optimization appliances to improve remote connectivity.
• Respond to security incidents using IDS/IPS and participate in network hardening activities.
• Assist with capacity planning, documentation, upgrades and on‑call support for remote sites.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Telecommunications or related field.
• Industry certifications such as CCIE, CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+ or Aruba Certified are preferred.
• Hands‑on experience with enterprise wireless (Aruba, Cisco), ClearPass and SD‑WAN solutions.
• Familiarity with WAN optimizers, firewalls, VPNs and satellite communication technologies.
