Nursing Supervisor – Building 20 (Riyadh)

About the role

The Talent Acquisition Team at Building No. 20 of King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre is seeking a Nursing Supervisor to lead night, evening and weekend shifts. This role ensures high‑quality, patient‑centered care while managing nursing resources and supporting the hospital’s mission of excellence and innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Represent Nursing Administration during evenings, nights and weekends.
• Manage appropriate utilization of nursing staff, equipment and materials.
• Coordinate with charge nurses on patient acuity and staffing adjustments, approve overtime as needed.
• Refer unit‑specific incidents to Head Nurse or Nursing Administration for follow‑up.
• Provide input for staff performance evaluations, advise, counsel and discipline staff when required.
• Respond to Code Green, fire and disaster drills.
• Prepare reports and maintain accurate records.
• Observe and evaluate nursing care effectiveness and communicate issues to leadership.
• Promote effective communication and teamwork on the unit.
• Welcome new staff and students, participate in retention activities to meet turnover goals.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary partners to improve quality of patient care and out‑of‑hours operations.
• Identify and propose ideas to enhance patient care quality using the professional practice framework.

Required profile

• Minimum 48 months (4 years) of nursing experience.
• Experience working evenings, nights and weekends in a hospital setting.
• Proven ability to manage staffing levels, resource utilization and overtime approvals.
• Familiarity with incident reporting, performance evaluation and disciplinary processes.
• Capability to respond to emergency codes, fire and disaster drills.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to multidisciplinary teamwork.
