On-Premise DevOps Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a senior DevOps/Platform Engineer to own and evolve our on‑premises infrastructure and CI/CD ecosystem. The role combines hands‑on system administration, automation, and backend development to deliver reliable, scalable, and highly available platforms for production workloads.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins/CloudBees, including artifact management and code‑quality gates.
• Administer and upgrade Jenkins controllers, agents, artifact repositories and code‑quality servers ensuring high availability and proper access controls.
• Operate OpenShift clusters in production – capacity planning, upgrades, RBAC, networking, ingress and workload optimization.
• Own monitoring stack (Prometheus, Grafana) – write PromQL queries, build dashboards, define SLOs and tune alerts.
• Deploy and manage ELK for centralized logging, handling parsing, indexing and retention policies.
• Drive infrastructure optimization through utilization analysis, rightsizing and stakeholder recommendations.
• Develop custom backend services, REST APIs and integrations in Python.
• Implement and test PR‑DR capabilities – replication, failover/failback, RTO/RPO compliance.
• Administer supporting databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) – installation, backup/restore, replication and performance tuning.
• Produce runbooks, documentation and mentor junior engineers.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering or a closely related field.
• Proven hands‑on experience managing OpenShift in production environments.
• Strong background with Jenkins/CloudBees, declarative pipelines and Groovy shared libraries.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD architecture, high‑availability design and distributed build agents.
• Experience designing and operating PR‑DR solutions with clear RTO/RPO targets.
• Database administration experience (PostgreSQL or MySQL) including backup and replication.
