Physiotherapist Trainee – Support Role

About the role

The Physiotherapist Trainee will work alongside a qualified physiotherapy team to deliver rehabilitation services under supervision. This position offers hands‑on clinical experience while supporting patient care and learning professional physiotherapy practices.

Key responsibilities

• Assist physiotherapists in evaluating patients' physical conditions and treatment needs.
• Support the implementation of prescribed physiotherapy treatment plans and rehabilitation exercises.
• Prepare treatment rooms, equipment, and therapy materials before each session.
• Monitor patient progress and report observations to the supervising physiotherapist.
• Educate patients on exercise techniques, mobility support, and recovery practices under supervision.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, safety procedures, and infection‑control standards.
• Participate in training sessions, workshops, and continuous learning activities.
• Assist with administrative and operational tasks within the physiotherapy department as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy or an equivalent qualification.
• Valid classification/registration from the relevant healthcare authority is preferred.
• Strong patient‑care and communication abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with colleagues.
• Good time‑management and organisational skills.
