Planning Specialist

About the role

The Supply Chain Planning Specialist supports the efficiency and continuity of supply chain operations by developing and maintaining operational plans, analyzing demand, and balancing supply and demand. The role ensures timely availability of materials and products while optimizing cost, quality, and service levels.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor supply, production, and distribution plans aligned with business requirements.
• Analyze demand patterns, sales forecasts, and historical data to generate accurate planning recommendations.
• Monitor inventory levels and recommend actions to maintain optimal stock while minimizing excess and stockouts.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Production, Warehousing, Logistics, Sales, and other stakeholders for seamless operations.
• Prepare planning reports, analyze performance gaps, and recommend corrective actions.
• Track and report Supply Chain KPIs such as forecast accuracy, inventory turnover, material availability, and service levels.
• Identify opportunities to improve planning processes, operational efficiency, and overall supply chain performance.
• Support cost‑optimization initiatives while maintaining service quality and continuity.
• Utilize ERP systems and planning tools for data‑driven decision‑making.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field.
• 1–5 years of experience in supply chain, demand, material, production, or logistics planning.
• Professional certifications such as APICS CPIM or CSCP are preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) is an advantage.
• Fluency in Arabic; proficiency in English is preferred.

Required skills

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

• Knowledge of business intelligence or reporting tools.
