Planning Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking a Planning Supervisor to lead overall production planning and scheduling across sampling, trials, and preventive maintenance activities. The role ensures optimal equipment utilization, clear cross‑department communication, and compliance with audit requirements within a manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead overall production planning and scheduling, including sampling, trials, and preventive maintenance.
• Optimize equipment utilization and line scheduling to minimize changeover times and meet operational targets.
• Maintain proactive communication with Production, Maintenance, Logistics, and Quality departments.
• Track raw material and service purchase orders to ensure on‑time delivery aligned with the production schedule.
• Identify and mitigate risks of material shortages or supplier delays.
• Monitor and reduce lead‑time gaps in the PSR/PO/RIR cycle to maintain optimal stock levels.
• Coordinate with procurement to secure reliable backup supply sources for critical items.
• Track and report department KPIs, analyze root causes of plan deviations, and implement corrective actions.
• Supervise the planning team to meet daily schedules and operational objectives.
• Maintain accurate, audit‑compliant planning, inventory, and production records.
• Follow up on audit findings, execute action plans, and close open audit points.
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors during compliance reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 4–6 years of experience in supply chain or production planning within manufacturing.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory or team‑lead experience in planning.
• Solid experience in the plastic & packaging industry and spare parts management.
• Relevant work experience in Saudi Arabia.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
• Strong analytical and cross‑functional coordination abilities.
• High ethical standards and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Good computer skills and fluency in spoken and written English.
