Principal Designer - Pipeline

About the role

The Principal Designer – Pipeline will independently apply advanced engineering techniques to solve complex design challenges. Reporting under general supervision, this senior professional will guide project teams, represent the organization in technical forums, and negotiate with key stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and validate pipeline design solutions using state‑of‑the‑art engineering methods.
• Make critical decisions on engineering problems and methods, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Represent the company at conferences and meetings to resolve technical questions and negotiate with external engineers and officials.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to designers and less‑experienced engineers.
• Manage assigned assets, including staff and budget, to achieve project objectives.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in Engineering (civil, mechanical, or related discipline).
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience, with typical candidates having 10+ years.
• Proven ability to work independently and make high‑impact engineering decisions.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with internal teams and external partners.
