Principal Structural Design Engineer – Offshore

About the role

The Senior Offshore Structural Engineer will lead the design, analysis and integrity assessment of offshore structures such as jackets, topsides, subsea facilities and floating systems. The role ensures compliance with Saudi Aramco standards and international codes while supporting all project phases from FEED to de‑commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Lead structural design and advanced engineering analysis for offshore platforms and subsea systems.
• Perform global and local analyses including loadout, lifting, fatigue, strength, buckling and seismic assessments.
• Review and approve structural calculations, drawings and project documentation.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (piping, mechanical, electrical, geotechnical, etc.).
• Provide technical support during fabrication, installation and offshore construction.
• Develop and implement structural integrity management strategies for brownfield assets.
• Mentor junior engineers and conduct single‑discipline and interdisciplinary checks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• 10+ years of offshore structural engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi Aramco standards and offshore design codes (API, DNV, ISO).
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage multiple assignments and communicate technical findings.
• Professional Engineer or Chartered Engineer status preferred.
