Process Engineer – Baggage Handling System

About the role

The Process Engineer will monitor and analyse the performance of the baggage handling system (BHS) at Dammam Airport, using operational data to identify problems, prepare reports and dashboards, and support practical improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Define and monitor key operational performance indicators and prepare clear performance reports and dashboards.
• Analyse system data to identify bottlenecks, recurring issues and root causes.
• Recommend and implement improvements to systems, processes and maintenance activities.
• Share findings and improvement actions with internal teams and relevant stakeholders.
• Develop practical solutions to improve productivity, reliability and service quality.
• Prepare process documents, procedures and operating instructions.
• Allocate improvement opportunities, track actions and measure results.
• Support the operations manager with insights about system and stakeholder performance.
• Coach system operators and stakeholders on SOPs and best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a relevant field.
• At least three years leading Six Sigma or DMAIC improvement projects.
• Minimum two years experience in process engineering, business analysis, data analysis or performance reporting.
• Good understanding of databases and SQL.
• Knowledge of process‑mapping tools such as Microsoft Visio.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.

Required skills

• Power BI, Tableau or Splunk (business intelligence tools).
• SQL for database querying.
• Microsoft Visio for process mapping.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (preferred).
