Procurement Officer

About the role

The Procurement Officer will lead the sourcing, purchasing and expediting of materials, equipment and services needed for project execution. You will ensure timely delivery at competitive cost while adhering to project specifications and internal procurement procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Process purchase requisitions and generate purchase orders for project needs.
• Source competitive quotations from approved vendors and subcontractors.
• Negotiate pricing, terms and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Expedite orders to align deliveries with the project schedule.
• Maintain procurement records, vendor files and PO tracking logs.
• Coordinate with QC and warehouse teams to verify receipt against specifications.
• Liaise with planning and site teams to match procurement with material requirement dates.
• Support vendor evaluation and upkeep of the approved vendor list.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and project requirements.
• Assist with cost tracking, reporting and resolution of delivery discrepancies.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of procurement/purchasing experience on EPC or industrial construction projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering or a related field.
