Procurement Officer

About the role

The Procurement Officer will lead sourcing activities, negotiate contracts and ensure timely acquisition of goods and services to support the organization’s operational goals. This role focuses on cost efficiency, inventory management and strong supplier relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Define and communicate supply strategy, aligning stakeholders.
• Use competitive insights to shape sourcing strategies and mitigate threats.
• Remove barriers to deliver exceptional internal and external customer service.
• Manage financial and budgetary responsibilities for the assigned category.
• Identify metrics, tools and processes to optimise sourcing and supplier performance.
• Lead savings and cash‑flow programs within the assigned product/service category.
• Develop and apply best‑practice procurement strategies to maximise value.
• Engage internal and external stakeholders to improve service while reducing costs.
• Analyse cost‑reduction opportunities and achieve financial targets.
• Oversee rationalisation of suppliers, materials and services.
• Support HSE initiatives and safety awareness activities.

Required profile

• Minimum of 1 month of relevant procurement experience.
• Strong understanding of market dynamics and price discovery.
• Ability to work ethically and represent the organisation professionally.
