Project Engineer

About the role

The Project Engineer will lead and coordinate all phases of pipeline and storage‑tank projects, ensuring technical specifications, budgets and schedules are met while acting as the primary liaison between the client and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, direct and coordinate project activities, including specification review, budgeting, proposal and bid development.
• Communicate project scope and customer requirements to engineering, procurement, production control, field teams and management.
• Serve as the main liaison between customers and GMCo, ensuring timely invoicing and positive cash flow.
• Identify and manage scope changes, negotiate change orders with clients, and update cost control systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in construction, specifically pipeline fabrication and storage‑tank projects.
• Hands‑on field experience with welding and inspection.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 procedures and site safety standards.
• Ability to obtain sponsorship transfer.

Required skills

• AutoCAD.
• Project management methodologies (PRINCE2 or PMP).
• Knowledge of API 650 standards.
• Welding inspection techniques.
