Purchasing Representative

About the role

We are looking for a diligent Purchasing Representative to join our team at the Residence Inn by Marriott in Dammam. The role focuses on receiving, processing and distributing goods and packages while ensuring accurate inventory records and excellent guest service.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, unload and process deliveries, accounting for incoming freight against invoices and receiving reports.
• Stage merchandise by department, label appropriately and deliver to the correct area.
• Verify and track inventory, complete inventory reports and logs, and reconcile shipping invoices.
• Receive, store, ship and deliver incoming and outgoing department packages and mail.
• Secure the receiving room and its contents, following hazardous‑material shipping guidelines.
• Ship outgoing mail and packages, verify quantity and condition upon receipt, and communicate with guests about their deliveries.
• Maintain an accurate tracking system for all shipping and receiving transactions, including guest signatures.
• Report accidents, injuries or unsafe conditions and follow all company policies and safety training.
• Provide courteous guest service, answer telephone calls professionally and develop positive working relationships.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting, moving and positioning items up to 50 lb and navigating confined or elevated spaces.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• No prior related work experience required.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull and place objects weighing up to 50 lb without assistance.
• Capability to work on stairs, ramps and uneven surfaces and to reach overhead or below the knees.
• Willingness to follow safety guidelines, company policies and maintain confidentiality.
