Resident Engineer – Electrical

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Resident Engineer (Electrical) to join our supervision consultancy team on a major infrastructure development located about 100 km north of Jeddah. The role focuses on supervising all electrical and related utility works, ensuring they meet project specifications, quality standards, and approved designs.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage electrical supervision activities on‑site as part of the consultant team.
• Supervise installation and construction of medium‑voltage (MV) and low‑voltage (LV) power distribution networks.
• Oversee street‑lighting systems and associated infrastructure.
• Supervise telecom infrastructure works, including ducts, chambers and related systems.
• Coordinate electrical works with other utilities such as road networks, water, sewage, storm‑water, gas, irrigation and landscaping.
• Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals and method statements submitted by contractors.
• Monitor construction progress, quality, health and safety compliance, and resolve technical issues on‑site.
• Prepare and review site inspection reports, progress reports and technical documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Proven experience in infrastructure supervision projects with engineering consultancy firms.
• Strong background in MV/LV power distribution, street lighting and telecom infrastructure.
• Experience coordinating electrical works within multi‑utility projects.
• Leadership, coordination and site‑management abilities.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
